My Story

I grew up on a cattle ranch in Hico, TX, where wide-open skies and the rhythm of the land shaped much of my childhood. From a young age, I felt a pull toward creating beauty, a spark that my mother nurtured with patience and care. She taught me the first lessons in arranging flowers, and as my parents noticed my love and gift for it, they encouraged me with supplies and space to practice. What began as small arrangements for our home or simple celebrations—birthdays, baby showers, quiet gatherings—slowly became a language through which I could express joy, care, and creativity.

Dance entered my life at 14, and it quickly became another form of expression. By 18, I moved to Fort Worth to pursue ballet professionally with Ballet Frontier. Teaching and performing became a way to explore discipline, movement, and grace. Later, in Dallas, I joined Zion Dance Company, a Christian dance company, where my art became intertwined with faith. While dance and floral design are different, both have taught me to see rhythm, flow, and beauty in every detail—a lesson I carry into every arrangement I create.

In 2023, I moved to Dallas and stepped into my first professional florist role at Urban Flower at Grange Hall. It was a dream realized, a chance to turn a lifelong passion into a way of serving others. Each bouquet, centerpiece, or floral installation is more than just flowers—it is an opportunity to share beauty, to meet expectations with care, and to bring a sense of quiet joy to the world.

My hope is that through my work, people can catch a glimpse of God’s handiwork in creation. Every interaction—whether with clients, colleagues, or vendors—is a chance to love and serve, reflecting the same grace that shapes my heart. Seeing someone moved by a simple arrangement reminds me of the gift it is to create, and it is this gratitude and purpose that guide everything I do.
